Work is continuing to keep me more than busy with multiple programmes ongoing with every day feeling different from carrying out Design Reviews, to setting strategic direction to spending time with the individuals in the teams to understand what is affecting them. Travel has calmed down a bit, and its nice to spend some time grounded as it were. I completed the Leadership development programme through University of Manchester (my old Alma Mater) and was very pleased to have passed with distinction. There were many lessons I learned from this and my aim for this year is to continue that journey and see benefits for both myself and the Business.
Outside Work
It seems to be a constant battle to get back running. Following the last time I updated this page, I seemed to suffer from illness after illness, and then the dark, cold nights crept in which felt like another excuse not to get out running. However, I am back out running again now, albeit only a couple of times a week. As the days get longer, I’ll get myself back in form.
The motorbike is now in the garage getting fixed, but then I’m looking to sell it and get a bigger bike as I have now passed my test! My Mod 1 (manoeuvring on a test site) was painful and I really struggled with figure of 8s. However, I eventually got through it! For anyone reading this who has been disheartened by the Mod 1 test, keep going! After passing my Mod 1, I took my Mod 2 and passed with no mark downs, and the examiner complimenting me on my riding as being progressive and safe. So now on to bike shopping! If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to drop me a message.
